Client Cant load custom textures

im making a minecraft client using https://github.com/Hexeption/MavenMCP

im trying to make a custom main menu and use my own texture for the background. im using a 1920x1080 jpg file from google. when i try to load it, i just get the "Missing texture" (black and purple looking thing). However loading default minecraft textures workz fine.

i tried using google and bing chat to help me find solution, but i couldnt.
help would be appreciated

You have everything you need for that in the Minecraft source.
mc.getTextureManager().bindTexture
Gui.drawScaledCustomSizeModalRect
Place your picture somewhere in the assets folder and use a ResourceLocation (in case youre too stupid , look how minecraft binds resouces)
